30 Days of Thanks: Day 12

I'm thankful for my appliances.

I know, 

that's weird.

But last night I went to bed with my dishwasher cleaning up the

remains of the 6x batch of biscotti I made for the craft fair,

the washing machine cleaning towels,

and

the dryer getting things all dry and fluffy and smelling pretty.

I didn't have to heat the water for my shower over a fire,

I didn't have to boil it to drink it either.

I can bake cookies at a nice, even 350* without

once wondering if my power is going to stay on,

or if I need to add wood to the fire.

I plugged in the vacuum to get the carpets

fur-and-leaf-free.

I flip a switch and more food goes

down my garbage disposal than

a child living in many places in the world

was able to get to eat today.

I have machines doing my work for me,

making my life easier,

making my life prettier,

and making my life more fun...

and I'm thankful for that!
